Hello from Philly

I'm actually a Network Engineer but have too many hobbies to even list here. I've always been around construction, electrical, and such all my life. I get more satisfaction of doing a project myself rather than hire someone, but I also know my limits and know when I shouldn't be doing it myself and when to hire that someone.

Just bought a 1950's house which is structurally sound, just needs a lot of updating... so let the projects begin!

Hello from Philly

Hello and welcome jgrohol, to the best DIY'r site on the web.

Remember its easier to post pics than it is to try and describe that special thing you are trying to explain.

Hello from Philly

Yep no problem. I will be posting pics very soon. My first project is a steel door in a load bearing block wall.
