Thumbs up

Hello from Panhandle of TEXAS!

Hello All,
i'm rosco and have had questions that home depot employees haven't helped much with. actually, going there has resulted in lots of purchases and not much else. i'd go to a local hardware but i think they're all gone on this side of town.

anyhow, the first question i have, and the one that has been the impetus of me joining this forum, is a noisy, burning Carrier Weathermaker 8100TX HVAC unit. i think it is the blower fan. i'm resetting it about once every 10 minutes after the blower fan just stops working. yeah, time for a new one.

my post in the HVAC topic section IS: how hard is it to replace the blower fan for a novice? is it just: remove a few wires and nuts, remove old unit and put in new one and keep going backwards until its all back in like the old unit was?

I'd love hear from you in the HVAC forum. i'll be waiting there while looking for a diagram or install guide online.

Hello from Panhandle of TEXAS!

Thank you for welcoming us to the site. I hope to have my question answered. How long does it normally take?
I got a response from the manufacturer this morning but don't quite understand what it means.
Best Regards,
Rosco and Robin
