Hello from Oregon

Bob (husband) and I “retired” to the Oregon coast in 2004. We bought a “diamond in the rough” on a creek and dug in. We lived in a construction zone for 2 years before we could stamp FINISHED on the first room. AARRGGHH!! We still have 2 bathrooms to tile, but the rest of the house is finally livable.

Today the rains start, which will keep us housebound for most of the next 8 months, which gives me plenty of time to work on websites and plan for next year (we’re calling it “the year of the yard” cuz landscaping projects head the list for 2007).

I put lots of before and after photos of our projects on my home site, but now I want to share all the how-to info we learned along the way. My plan for DIY-How-To.com is to collect all the hints, tutorials, and links I can find to make things easier for other DIYers. If you’d like to share any articles, hints, etc., please let me know.

I’m off to read the other posts, now. Looking forward to sharing ideas. This looks like a great forum.
