Hello from Northern NY

Hello,
I am a project Estimator and draftsmen for a build materials store (we are affiliated with TrueValue, but privately owned) I started out in the Architectural Millwork & Casework industry as a CAD Draftsmen and progressed to Project Manager. Unfortunately, the company closed and I moved on to a local lumber yard. Here I am responsible for product selection, estimating and drafting. I'm the guy the contractors come to when they have questions. I will never consider myself an expert, but I make it a point to continually educate myself on new products, construction methods and designs. I work hand in hand with Code Enforcement Officers, Contractors and Architects in both Residential and Commercial construction. Feel free to ask me any questions on products, and I will do my best to provide you an answer or point you in the right direct.

Location would be between a dairy farm and a corn field in the very northern part of New York state. I can see Canada from my drive to work in the morning..lol

Thanks for including your location. Most folks do NOT include their
location but it really does help. One example would be if you ask
for where you can get a particular item. Without a location all you
can get are answers like 'HD' or 'local Hardware'

I love the Staff of the local Home Depot's and Lowes.. They make me look like a genius..lol

I'm all to familiar with product availability with respect to location. One of the local Architects has a bad habit of googling products to spec on jobs, but hasn't caught on that they may not be available here (unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars in freight)
