Hello from New York

I Just found this website and stopping in to say hello.I have just bought a home on Lake Ontario outside Rochester NY 3 months. It was built in 1954 and need updating.I love the neighborhood and the Lake,so i bought a home 20,000 less then what it is worth. But i new it needs some work.

As i started to go out and get estimates for remodeling some of this house i realized they want a lot of money up here for there services. So i desided to start to learn how to be a Do It Yourself Homeowner.I just finished my first project in the breezeway between home and garage and i was amazed that i am capable and i can learn. Not to mention i saved 2,000 bucks on that project.

I hope i can continue to learn more and save much money by doing it myself and learning from all of you here.
I am starting a new project which is the small bathroom.I need help with this one.I hope it comes out the way the breezeway did. Thanks Mike
