Hello, not new to forums but new here. I'm an avid DIYer (cheap, hate to pay if I can do it myself, want to say I did it myself). That doesn't mean I skirt code, though, since my house is my most valuable asset.

Anyway, I have a question about venting the hip roof of my garage. To get the most/best (maybe that's an oxymoron for forums) replies, should I file this under Home Improvement or Roofing? I've never been on a forum with so many individual categories so I'm not sure if you have to troll through each category or if there's a catchall where all new posts go regardless of where they're filed.

Welcome. Sounds like roofing would be a place to start but hard to tell until we see the question? If it is primarily a ventilation issue HVAC might be a better category.

Don't worry to much about it. It is good you are at least thinking about plunking it in the right category. However, if you get it in the wrong place people are pretty good about flagging questions and getting them moved to where they belong so they get noticed.
