Hello from Long Island, NY

I am a 73 year old retired electrical engineer living in a 94 year old "four square". The place was bought by my parents and my father was not afraid to tackle almost any renovation or repair. I have tried to follow his philosophy. At present we are experiencing what might be a leaking cast iron drain/stack. I am about to open a wall in our kitchen to inspect. I am so pleased to be in touch with like minded people.
