Hello from Indiana
Hello ladies and gentlemen.......
I wanted to introduce myself since I kinda forgot before I made my first post.
As the title suggest, I live in Indiana and am in the middle of a remodel.
I'm remodeling a homebuilt in 1948. It is a block built home (which was unknown until demolition started). The wiring has been upgraded since then but I believe that is the extent of the upgrades.
First on the list is the bathroom. It is a relatively small bathroom with a vanity, toilet and tub. Nothing is square and the tub shares a wall with the concrete block wall.
Here is what I have done so far:
- Demo completed
- New subfloor
- New plumbing
- New window
- Framed the block wall for cement board
- New built in shelving area (wasted space before)
I ran into quite a few suprises but noting I couldn't handle. Right now I'm trying to figure out the electrical which is a combination of old and new. There are two circuits running to the bathroom. The GFCI protected circuit shares receptacles in different rooms (not up to code) and the other circuit (to the best of my knowldge) is a dedicated 2 wire (hot and neutral) circuit that isn't GFCI protected......
Well, enough for now. I will post my electrical questions in the proper forum.
Thank you for any advice in advance and good luck on your projects....
