Hello from the Hawkeye State

I suppose I probably should have stopped here before posting any questions or responses, but better late than never. The wife and I are rabid DIYers from central Iowa that have gained an invaluable amount of information from this site. We've managed to put some of that knowledge to good use, but we're primed to take it to the next level.
We recently discovered some rather significant water damage to our home that is going to require a substantial amount of work (i.e., framing [rim joists, mud sills, joist ends, etc..], siding, windows, drywall, you name it) and will most likely be bouncing a lot of ideas off people in the near future. It's a relief to know that a community like this exists!
