Hello DIY Nation

I've been an avid DIYer since I purchased my home about 3 years ago. Little did I know shortly after I purchased my home I would meet my wife. Since then I have completely remodeled the kitchen, half bath, full bath, den/fireplace, light fixtures etc.

Well, now my wife is about 4 months along with our first child, and we thought we would move my existing man cave, which is currently in our 20x10 "den" room to the basement. I have so many questions on doing it right and not cutting any corners. My Father/family owns a heating business, which I currently work for. We have been around now for exactly 100 years. The greatest thing about being a DIYer is my resources. I have connections to plumbers, electricians etc... and of course, HVAC.

The other plus is my wife's uncles are all carpenters and engineers who are willing to help with the basement for a tank of gas and a few dinners. And her grandfather is a retired electrician. So needless to say, I won't be tackling a lot of this by myself. But I digress. I suppose I can save this for another thread in which I have a lot of questions.

I'm happy to finally have joined this DIY community. I've already gathered plenty of useful information in the past few months.
