Hello from Birmingham, AL

Hi all,

I don't currently have any projects now. Several that I need to start with the good weather coming now though. I did get banned from the Paint Talk website though. A lot of great people and experience over there. I look forward to being readmitted this Sept. I should've registered here first in hindsight. I have an idea to start a residential repainting business that will hopefully eventually have a storefront. If you were interested in hiring a painter how many of us would entertain the idea of having a painting business located in a shopping center say close to Lowes/Home Depot that you could go in look at a showroom for ideas, discuss your needs and leave with an appointment set for someone to come out for a job estimate?

I know this is a DIY site and most of us would rather do just that so please be honest and please don't ban me from this site.

Thanks

I think they would stop in your shop, get ideas then go over to Lowes, buy the materials and paint it themselves with your ideas.

By that way of thinking, if you fill the store with, say, ex-Hooters female painters, you reckon you'd get lots of painting jobs?
