I am new to DIY Chatroom and wanted to say hello and thanks to all of those that contribute to the spreading of knowledge among the great unwashed masses, of I which, I consider myself a member.
I always remember reading quote that most Englishmen are unimpressed by art because they think that if I only had the time I could paint that myself. I'm not that misguided but like to tinker with tools and do things myself that don't require a ton of experience. Certain jobs are more art than craft and I do respect that there is a reason those craftsmen make the big bucks. However, I like to hang on to my small bucks and will take most jobs up to a point where the pros are necessary.
This has been a rewarding site to lurk on and I'm grateful to be in a community of people willing to help other people.
