Hello All

Well, congratulations to us. We finally saved enough and now have ourselves a nice 1951 fixer upper. Its not to bad, but on the surface some problem spots can be seen, so I'm expecting a lot of hidden problems to pop up.
Although this post will likely never be read, I'd still like to say thank you in advance for all the help that I'm going to be getting in the future.
About me, living in Victoria BC and have a reasonable amount of DIY experience, but the worst is that I'm not scared to try anything once, which normally involves my wife being moderately upset once in awhile (lack of car for a few days while changing timing belt and run into difficulties).
Anyways, good to be on board, and I will try to give my two cents when I can, but will be careful since my opinion is usually not up-to-code, just based on common sense.

Cheers all, and see you on the msg boards
