Hello

I have been lurking here for months and signed up not too long ago but hadn't posted until today.

My husband is a DIYer who can literally do anything. Wether he does them right is another story. He is an Industrial Designer so I think that may be why he has a knack for all of these home projects I throw at him.

I will post past projects and our current project in the appropriate forum for you all to see. We moved from the DFW area (Texas) to California in 2009 for my husbands job but got to come back home to Texas (Austin) last year. Not to knock CA but I was glad to leave.

Because we needed a house ASAP we bought a spec house which was their first ever built of our floor plan. Basically, our house was their practice house. In the process of building they moved a half bathroom, removed a large linen closet in the master bath (to make room for the half bath) as well as other "issues". The biggest mistake they made was the stairs but I will leave that for another post. The stairs is our current project which turned into a huge deal.

I enjoy looking at everyone's projects and thank you for the invaluable information the professional people here who take time out of their busy schedule to help us lowly DIYers.

Julie
