Hello

My wife and I just moved back to the States after spending 3 years in Scotland. We bought a 1908 historical brick house in a short sale and plan on doing a lot of the work on it ourselves (most of it looks cosmetic, at least). But... alas, there is a lot of work. Fromwhat tiny DIY things I have done in the past, I have realized I should always plan on stuff taking about 3 times as long as I had planned on it taking and being at least that much a pain in the arse.

Hope everyone will be patient with me and I have already been through a lot of posts. Lots of good info here already.
