I am an elderly DIYer living in Pittsburgh, PA (go Pens!!) and am trying to determine the best gutter coverings for my gutters. We live under a maple tree (helicopters, etc in the spring and leaves in the fall). The house is a pretty standard 2 story with 50' of gutter in the rear and 50' in the front. The roof is not perticularly steep. I've had screens (Home Depot) and still have to clean them and/or the gutters periodically plus replace those sections the squirrels pull off. I've looked at reverse curve coverings by Amerimax at Home Depot. About $1/foot. I'm just not convinced they will work. I have a quote from MasterShield to install their product (supposedly guaranteed for 20 years) at $20/foot. I saw an evaluation of this product by Tim Carter. Any thoughts???
