Greetings from South Louisiana!

Hi everyone! I sure am glad I found this community. My wife and I recently (last week) bought our first home. Its a ranch style built in 1959, originally a 2 bedroom, 1 bath but was converted into a 3 bedroom 1 bath sometime before the seller bought it 20 years ago by making a 400 sq ft living room by closing in the garage. I'm new to the ins and outs of repair and troubleshooting a house as I've rented every place I lived and maintenance was just a phone call away. I can fix whatever you want on a vehicle but will need help with this house but do posses common sense. As you can imagine this house has its share of issues, some uncovered by the inspection, some after moving in. I will post specific findings/ questions in each respective forum when I have my internet connected as I am posting from my phoneuntil Comcast installs my internet. Quick rundown though is only 6 outlets out of the 50 or so in the house (includes light switches) are ungrounded. I don't have BX wiring so the house will have to be rewired, which is okay as I want to chage some circuits as they run stupid for now. I have installed GFI breakers until I can install grounded wiring. Also my a/c drain clogged last night flooding my hallway, got that fixed up though. The kitchen, bathroom, and master bedroom have been remodeled but still need a a bit of work in each. I have lots to learn and questions to ask, and I know I will find the answers I need here. See you guys around.
