New to the forum from Mid-Michigan. My wife and I just bought our first house and have been doing some remodeling for the past few weeks. I'm employed as a Network Administrator and have been in the IT industry for the last 10 years. I enjoy using my hands and getting dirty while I'm not behind the keyboard..it's a nice change of pace!
So far I've replaced 4 windows, blown some cellulose insulation into an attick, filled a 10 yard dumpster with plaster and an old wall, and we've gutted our only bathroom to the studs due to lacking insulation in walls and ceiling.
The grout just went in last night, so the floor is quickly approaching living space. Painting the walls/ceiling is tonights project, so maybe we'll have a toilet this weekend..I'm sure the gas station around the corner is wondering why we're using their bathroom like it's our own.. haha (well it kinda is right now!).
Hope to contribute some from my experience with a little of this and a little of that, and also learn a little from everyone!
I included a few pics as well, including my wife with her grubbies on, and one of me in action..
