My husband and I live in Houston,we're childless, middle-aged and are regular diy-ers, mostly because we have such a hard time finding people to do a good job! (OK, OK, I admit I am a perfectionist!) We're pretty meticulous about doing things right and I would stack the quality of what we do up against the best "pro"
We've done a lot of different projects, from the simple paint/wallpaper up to gutting and re-doing a bathroom (had to learn how to install a proper shower pan for that one!) We've laid granite, marble, ceramic tile (we actually own a wet saw!), remodeled and refaced cabinets, installed granite and marble tile countertops, tiled a backsplash, laid laminate (in the exercise room, not in a living area!) Lots of fun and lots of work!
