Greetings from Austin, Texas. I am new to the site but have been reading posts here for several weeks while my wife and I are in the midst of adding a two-story 1,000 s.f. addition to our home in central Austin. I am doing this on a homeowner's permit (this evolved as a two-stager of separate 500 s.f. jobs, for those familiar with our homeowner's codes). This forum has been a great help and I look forward to getting more advice as we try to wrap this project up sometime in the next decade.
