First timer

Well, I suppose I've been lurking on this site long enough it's time to post an introduction. My name is Kelley, I'm 26 and the fiancÚ and I just bought our first home. We weren't in the market for a "vinyl village" house, we wanted something a little more...unique? So we ended up with a nice brick house built in 1950 with a two room addition done in 1958. The original part has an unfinished basement that is going to be my project after I get some of the more pressing issues fixed. I worked in a big-box hardware store for 6 years in high school and college, and did some house flipping for an investment company before the economy did its thing. I have a little knowledge in everything and am an expert in nothing. I look forward to your input and advice on things in the years to come!
