Felicitations from western Canada.

Hi all:
Even though I have been in the building trade for 40 years, there are still things I need to check on occasionally. I found this site while looking for an answer to an electrical question. I hope I can be of assistance to those of you who have expertise in other areas. I have been fortunate enough to study architecture for over 35 years as well. Currently building a Japanese garden, and trying desperately to finish my dream house. Hope to chat with you soon.

Welcome to DIY Chatroom. There are definately a lot of people here that can benefit from what you know, and some people you'll certainly learn from as well.

We're going to have to require some pics of the garden and the new home in the project showcase section!

I haven't been to that section yet, but I did find out how big the file size needs to be for the pix. This is a very different house as you will see. I look after a small community website from here Ruxton.ca
You can see a few photos of the Japanese garden under construction there. But I will post some on here for you as well if you like.

Well, thankyou.
For years I have wanted to do a Japanese Garden, but as with most of us, there always seems to be something else that is more important. However, this past spring, when my wife went to England for a month visiting relatives I had a chance to get started. Today it is sitting under the record snowfall we had here two days ago. Can't see a thing!
