DIY'er from El Paso TX

Hi all, new guy here from El Paso TX. I own a home that was built (apparently by unskilled monkeys) in 1980. I recently discovered that the planters on the front of the house were built right up against the wall without any thought to the fact that heaping dirt up against an exterior wall is about as bright as trying to pump gas in the dark while holding a lighter.

Anyhow, I have quite a bit of damage to my kitchen wall and thought I'd seek advice here. I've built lots of "stuff" in my lifetime so I'm pretty confident I can do it as long as I've got photos of the regular way to do stuff.

I look forward to having a forum to bounce ideas off of.
