Damaged PVC drain needs removed from concrete floor

I tore out an old shower and that PVC drain is in a concrete floor. The drain is damaged and needs repalced. Do i have any other option than jack hammering up the floor to install a new drain. The shower was a El Mustee 68 32x32 Stand Shwr Stall. The drain has a 90 degree fitting glued back down into the floor drain which is in the concrete slab.
