Ok, I suggest longer screws on the hindge side.
Was this a question?
If you want to know how long they need to be there 3".
It's best to predrill a pilot hole the size of the minor diam. of the screw so you do not round out the head of the screw since brass screws are soft.
Make sure the screw is the same gauge as the other screws so the head will fit flush with the hindge.
DO not over tighten it unless your trying to adjust the exposure on the latch side of the door.
