Buying our first home and it needs some "improvements"

well, we are almost all moved in.

had to call roto rooter yesterday as there was a bit of water around the floordrain in the basement with some toilet paper in it . we knew we were gonna need to call them eventually as it is sort of a annual thing for the houses on our street.

got to use my garage for auto repairs last week as my old car broke its timing belt and the "new" car needed some fenders put on it. got to learn how to use a hammer and dolley for that job. lets just say the used fenders are less dented than before.

got the kids room, dining room and living room painted. i am glad we didnt hook up the cable and internet untill those rooms were painted otherwise i would have never gotten them done.

Looks like a nice house & a big 2 car garage

MY front door was one of the 1st things I replaced
As well as the single pain windows in the basement
Basement door did not close/seal properly so that was replaced too

I also insulated my sill plate, made the basement much warmer
We moved in at the end of November into mid December (snow storms)
You have plenty of weather to do things (if needed) before cold weather hits

I knew I was a home owner when I had to buy dirt
