Bought my first house in Rumson, NJ

Appears to be a 70 year old Sears house. Needs a lot of cosmetic work but the foundation seems to be solid, no cracks or splits.

So it is not uncommon for people in my neighborhood to tear down $400 houses just for the property. Needless to say, I am in no position to knock down my first house but I am confident that every penny I put into this house will be a good investment.

List of projects already completed:
Rebuilt stairs (tread, risers, leveled stringers)
Titled back splash in kitchen
Upgraded 40' of copper tubing
sealed dormer roof with Karnak 97
drywalled bathroom/ceiling
ran electrical outlets to exterior of house
Upgraded to two-prong outlets

At any rate, judging by the material I've read here, it's great being involved in such an informative community.

Those Sears houses are rarer each day
Lots of them out here got the 'knockdown' treatment
Very popular at the time though
I think you should keep it
