baseboard to heat pump,

My question is , I am shortly going to receive a quote from my contractor about replacing baseboard heating with a heat pump system, I already have existing duct work due to central air unit, so that cost shouldnt be included, unless of course the size of duct work is to small or something. I WAS WONDERING WHAT A FAIR PRICE WOULD BE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS ? would it really be that big a savings, i mean ,we would still be using electric instead of gas to heat like with baseboards.,, I live in dayton ohio, Also what type of costs would there be down the road with a heat pump, i am sort of shy about having both things related, heat and cool.
