Another New Kid With a Hammer

Like a couple others before me, I Googled my way to this forum.

I know the basics of framing, drywall, and electrical, but watching "Flip This House" over the weekend opened my eyes concerning just what might be a code violation or not.

As I'm just about to completely frame and insulate my entire basement, I realized that I'd better do a bit more research. Count on seeing lots of questions from me in the various topic areas.
