Another New Guy

Hi. I wanted to introduce myself. I've been doing DIY house repairs for 40 years having owned my own homes and some rentals. I retired from a career in the electrical field as a sub station electrician where I helped build and maintain high voltage sub stations and equipment.
My current project is a 110 year old house in California that my parents left me. It's in bad shape due to neglect during their old age. I have had to rewire, re-plumb, re-roof and stabilize the foundation. Now I am working on leveling floor joists and replacing sub floors in preparation of new hardwood floors. After that I'll be replacing the old lath and plaster with drywall. I have little experience with this type work, most of my experience is with concrete and steel. I hope to get more detailed information from the members of this chat room. Thanks and glad to be on board.
