Hi, I'm Jon.

I am a 30 year old electrical engineer with a professional background in magnetic field/sensor design, making airbags (not) go pop, LCDs and pizza. I have been accused of being rather handy with the home maintenance but I think it more likely that I take it as a personal insult when one of my machines (appliances, cars, computers, clicky pens, etc) fails and become borderline manic in my obsession to fix it.

How I stumbled here and my current project is rebuilding a furnace/air conditioner that is nearly as old as me.

I don't know what the forum policy is regarding plugging businesses but I came across an HVAC place in the Detroit area that was way beyond helpful.
