Always in a little over my head

Hi, I'm Don Brasier an old guy (65) from Centerville, Indiana near Richmond Indiana which is almost directly across from Dayton, Ohio. I'm pretty much retired now. I worked about 35 years at GM Powertrain and since then have had a string of part time jobs. The last one to help pay for my daughter's college. I now only work 2 days a week and every other Saturday delivering medicine. I just love it when I can do my own repairs rather than pay someone $50 to $75 an hour using a severly marked up part. So you see I'm pretty cheap (frugal). I just posted a request for advice about putting an exhaust fan on my Heil propane furnace. The exhaust fan motor suddenly got quite whiny. Anyway, I didn't want to wait so I went ahead and bought the part and put it on. It turned out to be fairly easy to do. Just be sure and turn off the gas and electricity and be as sure as you can be that the rubber "O" ring stays in place while you screw on the assembly. I am however glad I found this forum because as a "do it yourselfer" I'm sure I'll run into many more problems. See you all then. Centervilledon

Welcome to the site, we are all like you and we save money (most of the time) by doing it ourselves
