Hello from Alabama,
I am a Newbie to the forum and basically a Newbie of sorts to Carpentry! My Dad was a carpenter for a great deal of his life and when He needed something, he just built it! Well to my shame, I did not pay close enough attention over the years to the more detailed things of carpentry. I lost him this past January and now of course I can't ask him the questions I need to ask.
I mean I know how to use a framing square to make a square cut line but I do not know how to figure rafter angles. I guess you can use a speed square to do that but I don't know how to use one of those other than straight lines.
With just joining the site a few moments ago, I wanting to say hello of course and I will probably have a mega amount of questions. Thanks for the site and hoping to get to know you folks and learn a lot from you!
Take Care
