100 Year Old House

Hello,My wife and I just purchased an old home in north central Texas ,built in 1910. We will be restoring and remodeling. It's seems to fit in the bungalow catergory of its time period.Has a lot of great wood features that have been painted over.Lots of stripping seems to be in my future. The old windows are orginal.Dont know if I will rebuild with multi-panes or replace yet.Im sure I will have lots of questons. The old roof has had comp added over the old cedar shake, Not sure yet what Ill do there. The bid to tear off ,deck and 30 yr comp was 10 grand. Need to price metal as well as a new cedar shake. If you have any suggestions on paint stripper, please reply. TexzBluz
