Why is the Contractortalk forum so hard to get into?

It seems Contractortalk is down quite a bit, or I just can't seem to open it.... server down, very slow, etc. Just wondering.

I would have posted this in Contractortalk, but, well, I can't open the site. :o

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about. The site has been up and running fine for a while now.

Its also on a dedicated server so there are no speed problems. In fact, it shares that server with this site so if the server was slow both sites would be slow.

Can you explain more? Also is anyone else having problems?

Maybe it's just me, but it's happened quite a few times in the past. I tried again this morning, and got the same message...

All your other forums (that you listed recently in the Off Topic section) load fine. I guess it could be my computer. Maybe if I cleared out some temp internet files (which I have tried) and maybe delete some cookies it might help. I do have a highspeed connection so I typically don't have to wait more than a few seconds. Maybe if some other can chime in. Otherwise, I might be the only one.

Your host may be having DNS issues.
Next time you that problem try going to 207.142.132.36 instead of ContractorTalk.com. That's ContractorTalk's IP address.

That link worked fine....while the link in my Favorites still gave me the error.

Thanks. :)
