This is my first time on this forum page and I must say I'm disappointed in the the views to replies ratio. I've been on other construction forums and greatly appreciated the help and advice I'd get, but either this site has fewer professionals that can offer advice or no one's in the habit of offering any!

Yeah, give us a break here! 2 job family, new high-schooler w/guitars, 2 cats (1 diabetic), aging relatives, etc. That said, I'm clueless about wooden floors, but if you find some insect damage in them, bring it over to Pest Control forum and we'll get 'er done!
