You can already do this by "subscribing" to a thread. There are two ways to do this.
If you want to subscribe to one particular thread look for the "Thread Tools" drop down menu at the top of every thread. Select the Subscribe option and follow the instructions.

The other option you have is to change your default settings in your profile here: http://www.diychatroom.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
Look for the Default Thread Subscription Mode option and select "instant email notification".

Then that member will need to contact a moderator and ask them to move said postings, that command function is only avail to mods and the admin.

people could ask all sort of questions on how good/bad a particular tool is, or is it suitable for a job... etc...

may be we already have one like that... not sure...
