Sponsored posts in the forum

I realize that these forums are all about the money, but this forum already has more ads than most and now "sponsored posts in the forum". Is this really necessary? Things like that kill forums. Several of the forums that were popular have died because posters got tired of digging through the ads. :censored:

They occur so infrequently that I'm not worried about it.

I'm sure they are already aware of it. Someone with software access had to disable the report button. I run several forums. They would need access to the admin panel.

You run several forums and you couldn't tell this was a legitimate, paid ad? hmm.

redman88 04-11-2013 12:30 AM

i feel it could be legitimate and paid ads but they should at least fit the areas they are in.

BigJim 04-11-2013 12:41 AM

It is legitimate.

INFREQUENTLY they are at the top of every forum

They really aren't all that intrusive. I get to come on here and get tons of free advice and entertainment when bored at work for free. I don't think having to glance passed something about a Ford truck pulling 9 bajillion tons is a huge price to pay. However, those adds do make me NOT want to ever buy whatever they are selling.

Too bad we cannot reply to the ads.
