Re: site extremely slow

Next time its running painfully, do a Control/Alt/Delete to bring up task manager. You might find that one window of Internet Explorer is using huge amounts of memory (the ones shown below are normal). Certain web sites (like USA today) try to run download/run all sorts of junk on your computer. Then, you think you closed the window, but its still running in the background. If you see anything on IE using 500,000K or more, select it, right mouse button and "End Process".

Things have been good for the last several days and today.

Re: site extremely slow

The iOS app hasn't been in the App Store for quite some time so I am assuming you still have an old version on your phone.

Yes, I do. Any news on whether it'll be updated soon?

I am checking with our team to see if there is a solution, so for right now, you have 3 options to access the site from your phone.

(1) Download and use Tapatalk.

(2) Use our smartphone viewer through your phone browser.

(3) View the full site using your phone browsers

Holy Smokes.

I turned my AdBlocker off to access another site and forgot to put it back on. I couldn't believe how much longer it took to load the pages.

Re: site extremely slow

I have to visit this site via Firefox w/adblocker' otherwise, simply using MS Explorer is a painful experience. Firefox+adblocker speeds up up most sites but I find that it is essential for this one.

Re: site extremely slow

Could be scripts as well. My script blocker is showing 19 scripts trying to run on this page. 11 of those I have blocked.\
there are 7 blocked ads and one hidden blocked ad.

Me too. On many sites never problems with the exception of this one, very frustrating.
