I wanted to add to a post I made today and don't see an edit button.

Sorry...they made some changes so now there's a 30 min. time limit to edit a post. Of coarse we can still edit it for you if you like.

Thanks Ron. I'll look for that post again. I think it's one I made this morning.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the benefit of having to wait 30 min. to edit?

ETA: I made the post at 12:46 pm.

You only have 30 minutes to edit your post. After that, you can't edit your post.

It helps to prevent spammers from making a seemingly normal post, and coming back an hour, day, or week later, and adding a spam link to it.

There are also some that get upset for whatever reason and start deleting all of their post in a thread. After doing so the thread makes no sense with half of the post missing.

Then you at least ought to provide a delete post button so that if one makes a serious mistake with his or her post or forgets to add something important one could delete the post and start over! Jeeze!

While we are on the subject....is there anyway to dump an entire thread into a text file?

I would like to make a copy of my thread on my addition and archive it...I have the original pics...but the info in there would be handy to have off line for historical reasons...it's a good timeline recording of my project....that has taken over 3 years......

when you click Report Post I thought that it said something like "Note: This is only to be used to report spam, advertising ..." or the like. So you're saying we can use it to get help from Admin for fixing mistakes in our posts? That will come in handy. I have one such now, on another thread (left out important photo).

While we can add a photo for you. You would have to send the photo to us for us to add it. So putting the photo in another post in the same thread is quicker.
