Do you have screen capture on your phone? Maybe try to trick it by reversing the photo.

Blackberrys have a single size screen both up and across iPhones and android don't but regardless forums emails or many other sites don't care about if it's landscape or portrait.

It has nothing to do with the phone when u upload photos.

I will dig around for screen capture and see

So are you telliing me there is no solution?

I am a Realtor and the Toronto MLS does not accept landscape photo's. I've hired photographers in the past and have had to discard great shots as a result.
I'm hoping to eliminate that expense.

I do iPhone photography and I know that the only website I found that was able to tell the difference was google blog. Not Facebook instagram emails ect. here's a example I made a flooring blog from my iPhone and posted photos and it knew which was portrait and landscspe.

No, when I hold in portrait the image snaps in portrait. It only goes to landscape when it lands at its destination

How does it display on your phone when held in landscape? Also what resolution are you taking picture? Make sure it's divisible by 8 or specifically 128

No problems at all with landscape. If i snap a pic in landscape it emails perfectly. Resolution is 800x480. I specifically chose that because I understand it needs to be under 1mg

Take a picture in portrait, when you look at it on phone holding phone in "landscape" how is it displayed? Is it still in landscape, or is it shown in portrait with black bars?

Okay did that. It stays in portrait, but no black bars. When I swipe at it to enlarge it a blue perimeter appears momentarily

It has something to do with the encoding. A lot of websites are hostile to mobile devices. Try sending to a PC, then open and confirm orientation. If it is landscape rotate in "Paint" to portrait then post. Also try 640 x 480, website may be set to force long pictures into landscape. You can also get Adobe Photoshop Express from Android Market to rotate picture. But I think any "in phone" corrections may not help.

Ok here is what I will try. email to myself. Rotate the pic to portrait and email back to myself. Then I can email it to its destination

Does this sound right?

Try posting 640 x 480 portrait first.
