"Location" should be a requirement when signing up

On a forum like this the location is important.

The forum software could easily be set to require a location be entered upon registration.

I think it would be a good idea. If someone wants to hide the state they live in, they could at least enter "USA" so we know what country they are talking about.

Anything fun is either illegal, immoral, or fattening.

This has come up before
It was made a requirement as a test
The number of people signing up dropped
So the requirement was removed

Some people have this "thing" about not wanting anyone to know what part of the world they hail from.
The ads in my post are there without my permission. I do not endorse any of the products.

If someone is stupid enough to not identify their location (like USA. Canada), they deserve to get the lower amount of response posts trying to provide an intellegent answer/help.
