a good suggestion to be taken seriously

Allow me to humbly submit a site suggestion. While all of the moderators here at the DIY Chatroom do a fantastic job, please consider designating me as moderator of the Off Topic forum. Obviously, I am intelligent, and I believe that I would be fair, impartial, and judicious in moderating the forum and arbitrating disagreements among members.

I realize that, generally, members are invited to be moderators; however, I cannot imagine that I would receive such an invitation any time soon. Please forgive this one time breach in site protocol and consider my suggestion.

Respectfully,

H.V.

Well, I see that the usual peanut gallery has once again decided to chime-in and attempt make a buffoon out of me. And I see that you used those little emoticons rather than the English language. I suppose this is to be expected, sadly. Too bad.

Rather than engage you folks, I just want to reiterate that I think I would make a good Off Topic moderator. I am highly educated and am becoming a more accomplished do-it-yourselfer by the day. I have learned a lot from the discussion on here, and other members have learned quite a lot from me, as well. For proof, look no further than the Landscaping, Flooring, Painting, and Safety forums, and, more recently, I branched out into the Electrical Forum where I advised someone to contact his condominium association regarding some potentially hazardous exposed wiring.

I believe that the other moderators on the DIY Chatroom do a first-rate job. This post is not meant to be taken as a shot against them. I am stating, however, that there is room for one more.

Thank you.
