Force update of location for new users?

I agree that location is important to get the best answers---
However , I still do not want any more ,"do it or go elsewhere" rules--

The regulars know---and new members will learn--Just ask --

Look at my signature line----

Again.

And again.

And again.

Every time a question that would truly benefit from having at least SOME sort of location. So why bother making it an extra step?

Cause people are allowed to have privacy. Forcing location would also reduce new membership registration.

Where as making people have to ask it over and over does, what, to help encourage them to continue helping?

Seriously, stop being such freaks about it. Having a vague idea of a location really does help answer quite a lot of questions more effectively.

Forced location listing isn't going to happen. So no use continuing to ask for it.

Clearly.

Not asking, just replying.
