DIYChatroom.com Changes

Whenever possible, I like to let you know in advance when there will be changes in the community. Sometimes that isn't possible because you see the changes about the same time that I do.

You are already seeing some changes in the right sidebar where the ads are shown. This will help prevent issues we have seen at times with ads overlapping the content.

You are already also seeing some double underlined links throughout the community. If you hover over them with your mouse, you will see an ad.

Very soon, we will be seeing a narrower version of the forum similar to what you see in the forum section of ContractorTalk

As you all know, running a site costs money and advertisements pay for that. We don't want to overwhelm the community but are finding ways to balance the amount of ads and their placements. We are also working on finding the best fit for everyone involved. Itís not a perfect process and there will be discussion and disagreement with anything that is changed Ė thatís just human nature.

Thank you for understanding.

Thank you for the update. I had been wondering about those double underscored items.

And shrinking the ads on the right is really a great thing to do.

DIYChatroom.com Changes

I just logged into Contractortalk, wow if the techs can get the DIY like that it will be fantastic and I am sure the WWT will like it also unless it is really narrow on everyone else's screen. The first photo is of the contractortalk forum, the second is of the diy forum as I see it on my computer, these are photos not screen captured.

It looks like you may be using screen resolutions that are a bit different than the default so I am providing a few screenshots as examples.

The way it is on your screen isn't too bad IMHO, I can live with that. I am getting another computer soon, so I will see all like y'all do.
