ContractorTalk.com Status

I'm posting this over here just in case anyone from contractortalk.com checks.

ContractorTalk.com has been down for several hours because of a backbone routing issue. This network problem is causing most traffic to not get through.

We are working with our host and hope to be back online soon.
We will be sending an email to the members of ContractorTalk.com as soon as we get back up.

Thanks.

Yeah, I did a trace route ping several times, and noticed that it's stopping at Performance Systems machines down in DC. I know from past pings that they're the machine right before yours. Kinda sucks when it's out of your hands.

Consequently, DIY chatroom is darned slow too. I'm getting 60ms pings. Oddly, DIY chatroom goes through a totally different route than CT does. DIY goes through New York and then Tampa. CT goes through Washington DC.

If you can't get to ContractorTalk.com right now you should be able to reach it by going to http://66.230.196.36/

Still working with the host on why everything is so slow.

If you could PM me a copy of your trace route that would help mdshunk. Thanks!

Essentially yes! We had some code planted on our server and that code attacked another server... our host shut down our account because of it and that's the short version.

Crazy
