Classifieds forum?
Just thinking a private classifieds sale section would be nice for the site. used tools, etc...
other than that, great site!

Classifieds forum?
Thanks for the suggestion. I've thought about a classifieds section for a while but there are some maintenance issues that have kept me away from it. If I find the right software someday I'll add it.

There is one already.
It's called EBAY.

Yea, we try to focus on one thing and do it really well. Ebay does their thing really well so I'll let them have that

Classifieds forum?
Craigslist is another great option, and doesn't cost anything.
From a moderation standpoint, I can tell you that it would be a real challenge for us to have a classifieds section here. Classifieds sections take an incredible amount of policing and moderation with deals gone bad, crimes, etc. I'm with Nathan in that we're better off focusing our efforts on keeping this site a great place for people to come to share and receive help on DIY projects.

It would be great to have a section to be able to sell excess building materials, tools, etc.
Can this be done? I have some stuff myself that I want to sell.

Yea, I think Craigslist or Ebay would be a much better option.

3rd vote for Craigslist & Ebay.
They specialize in that, have all the extra help to monitor the ads and transactions, as well as the set-ups and liability experience. That's a whole 'nother complex website plan....
