I think the answer lies in the first sentence of the second paragraph of Ron's link.

We members of Woodworking Talk are supposed to soon get the same ad mess as this site. You would think that they would learn to fix one site before they mess up another one.

Those of us that also belong to WoodworkingTalk are dreading you doing the update over there. This site has had problems for months since it was done here. Any fix in sight?

I rarely visit this site for just this reason. It's a shame since I really like to help people that can't afford to hire guys like me lol.

I can't begin to imagine how frustrating this must be for all of you. I am frustrated and I have only been here for a few days! I do know that the strength of a community is the members and the moderator team.

I have been with another Escalate Media community since the day it began (I have more than 41,000 posts there!) and we have been through a few owners over the years. With every change there has been growing pains and a lot of frustration, but ya know what? We always make it through and we end up stronger than ever.

We are actively working on correcting the issues as quickly as possible so rather than getting hung up grumbling and complaining, let's get back to coming together as a community.

Just be glad that they are not using the same company that AVSForums does.

First rule of home improvement. if it ain't broke don't fix it! why in green hills did you all change a perfectly good forum? did you want it to be more lady friendly? More martha stewart Pinterest? it sucks for us with Ipads. I don't use windows. Apple only did you test it out? can you go back to the way it was? be simple to just switch back. because you all don't seem to get it.

Nailbags, you think this is bad, now Majorgeeks.com is using Addthis to help influx money to keep their site up. You not only get one slider coming out, you get two. One on the upper Right, one on the lower Left.

I am now having to use Ghostery, to pick and choose what I want to come through, along with Javascript Pop-up Blocker. I still use Ad-block plus for stuff like that Home Depot ad.

Mainly started using these extensions, due to the local newspapers and others had so much garbage on them, I had to use Adblock, to clean them up.

You may see stuff shifting around today as we work on the issues. I will let you know when the changes are complete so we can evaluate what still needs to be done at that time.

Thank you for your continued patience with me.
