been working fine here Dave, sometimes proper placement of a hammer takes all the bugs out of the puter.

OK, here's the other error I get
IE can’t open the internet site http://www.diychatroom.com/f17/hvac-just-serviced-thoughts-needed-repairs-45144. Operation aborted I checked - there aren't any IE updates It displays the name of the thread it couldn't open I hit "back" & then it shows the thread |

Anyone else getting errors on site?
Just had the same error on another site that uses the same software
This time when trying to reply to a thread I wonder if it 's when I have both sites open? I'm not sure what version the other site uses - VBulletin This site uses 3.8.1 |

W>O>W>! sounds suspicious dave... what antivirus/spyware are you running if any?
i'd go to avast.com and run their freeware, just to be safe. your symptoms seem very viruslike. DM

No virus
No problems with other sites Only VBulletin sites hmmmmm...don't bother searching the web for VBulletin errors ![]() I've asked the other site what version they are using For now I'm going to make sure I don't have both sites open & see what happens |

I've tried different browsers (not for this problem) & for one reason or another I'm back with IE
I was using Firefox for quite a while but there was something I ran into (that I use) that did not work right with Firefox) IE was terrible, but they seemed to have fixed the (many) bugs that were in it. It ran extremely slowly & crashed (new PC) So I looked at & tried other browsers Now IE8 is out Not even looking at that |

well, i've used Opera ( www.opera.com ) for many years and have never had problems with it.
IE sux. firefox is better, but no internal email like opera. DM

I was having a lot of freeze-ups with explorer, switched over to firefox and have been running freeze-free for over 3 months now.

I'm not getting the errors (for now)
But it appears that the phishing filter is causing extremely slow reload |
