Anybody really care?

Do the powers that run this show really care that things don't work? I can understand the need to refresh a website from time to time, but shouldn't somebody have run the whole thing off line and fixed all of the bugs before going live? Change for it's own sake is not progress. Ads overlap the text. Directories and links aren't consistant. This has gone on for weeks and nobody seems to care.

I still can't post in the contractor talk forum. It got the update at the same time. Not sure if they don't care or just don't know how to fix things. Of course, as long as they get the ad money, they won't be too concerned.

yeah whenever I view this on my iPad in safari the ads are all over the text and can't read anything.

On my forum, we allow everyone to eliminate all the sidebar ads. It does not affect income from those ads. It does make the forum full page.

The only way I've found to read all the text in the first post, when there is a too large pic involved, is to copy and paste somewhere. I think that nonsense is about to end.

I've forwarded this to the administration----Feel free to PM the administration your selves---perhaps a squeaky wheel will get some grease.--Mike---

When we stop using the site.... new parties do not join.... or if people boycotted advertisers who ruin the site, hits will stop, and advertizing revenues will cease.

We both need, and want advertizers... it let's us have a lot of good information about products to use....

I guess my personal gripe is the growing internet trend to force the advertizement on us... like the 20 second video you have to watch before you can see what you clicked to...

I'll boycot those advertizers.... if we all do... it won't occur anymore.

The free markets work great, as long as "vote" in that market with our dollars.

Best

They still have never fixed all the glitches at contractor forum.

They seem to be steadily working on it.

Every week or two, something else begins working again. Right now, I have been able to switch back to IE-10, and only one or two small things act up.

Spell check is still quirky.

I'm sure they care a lot.

But considering how much we pay to be here, I don't think there is a lot we can complain about.

But the amount of ads they get, and the amount they make from the ads is based on search ranking. And search ranking depends on us being here.
That is just like these sidebar ads. On my forum, we allow posters to disable them. It doesn't affect ad revenue, but sure makes a nicer forum.

wrong thread sorry

Juan M 08-27-2013 12:42 PM

Please post a screenshot of the ads that are running over? This should not be happening. Thanks!

ddawg16 08-27-2013 01:02 PM

Juan....that part looks to be fixed....at least in Chrome....

If I resize my window while I have a tread open....the images might encroach a little bit on the thread...but when I open a new thread...it's good.

For the most part, it appears to be resizing properly as you change a window width.

I still wish the "New Posts" button would show up when looking at a thread on my Iphone...

No it isn't, it is very much still there. I will try to capture the screen.
